The Delta Flyers are proud to announce our affiliation with Betsie Brown and her company, Blind Raccoon, LLC.

Blind Raccoon is a Publicity and Promotional Company based in Memphis, Tennessee and Betsie is absolutely the best Publicist to guide us on our career path at this time.

We will initially be doing a 3 month campaign leading up to, and including, the 25th International Blues Challenge in February of 2009.

Welcome aboard, Betsie. We'll make you proud.

This morning, Travis and I were part of a band called Little Stevie
and the Prime Time Players and we were on Deborah Duncan's Great Day
Houston show. The main guest this morning was Dan Aykroyd. Dan is
in town for the opening of the new House Of Blues here in Houston.
the band were all dressed in black with black hats and sunglasses and
playing Blues Brothers songs. Dan got up with us and sang Sweet Home
Chicago and played MY harmonica, which I am now retiring to the
trophy case. I was able to get a Levee Road CD to him and he said
that he would play some cuts on his House Of Blues radio show. We'll
see if that comes to pass. Anyway, we all had a great time and I just
want to let all of you know that Dan Aykroyd is as real as it gets.
What a way to start the weekend !!!

This past Sunday, The Delta Flyers won the Solo/Duo competition held at
Danelectro's Guitar Bar and will be advancing to the 25th annual
International Blues Challenge on Beale Street, in Memphis, Tennessee,
the first weekend of February in 2009, representing The Houston Blues
Society and Southeast Texas. Our thanks go out to the judges who
voted us in and to the hard working folks at The Houston Blues
Society for making the competition possible. Joining us will be the
winning Band, Rick Lee and The Night Owls, featuring the lovely
Evelyn Rubio. There will be some future shows featuring the winners,
and hosted by The Houston Blues Society, between now and February and
we hope to see all of you there.

The Delta Flyers, the Acoustic Blues duo who represented the Houston Blues Society at the 24th annual International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee earlier this year, will be performing at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck on Sunday, August 24, from 6 until 10 PM. The Delta Flyers performance will take you on a trip along the Blues Highway from New Orleans, all the way to Chicago, embracing all of the Blues stylings to be found along the way. With guest appearances by vocalist Tommie Lee Bradley and blues mandolinist Rich Delgrosso, this show should be one of the highlights of the Houston Blues scene in 2008.

On Sunday, July 27, The Delta Flyers CD, "On The Levee Road", will be featured as Album Of The Week on Texas Radio, an internet broadcast from the Netherlands. The show broadcasts from 2 to 4 PM CST and from 9 to 11 PM in the Netherlands. Our hosts are Eddy and Ria Veldkamp. You can catch the show at www.texas-radio.nl.

Greetings from DuPree's World. This Saturday, August 18, is the White Cat Showcase at McGonigal's Mucky Duck. This showcase provides a chance for all of the artists who have recorded at White Cat Studios in recent times to strut their stuff in front of a packed house. The Delta Flyers will be playing in the second show, which starts at 10 PM. I hope everyone wil come out to support not only me, but all of the other artists involved. We have all worked hard to get to this point. The Flyerettes, TLee and Janet Z are ready. DuPree is ready. Let's cook.

All Tour dates in the U.K. have been cancelled as well as any upcoming dates stateside. I will be concentrating on my songwriting collaboration with Tommie Lee Bradley and Janet Z. Thanks to all for their faith and interest.

The new CD has arrived on my doorstep and it's time to give long overdue
thanks to all who participated on the project. Everyone was equally
important but I have to start somewhere.....so.....thanks to:

The Reverend and Travis Stephenson for co-writing with me and for a
rightous job of pickin. We put some great songs together. The proof
is in the pudding.

Jack Saunders for his vision. Every train needs an engineer and the
Delta Flyer ain't no different. His production as well as his work
on guitar, bass guitar, reso and vocals is greatly appreciated. Jack
is a gifted songwriter and musician and will be having a CD Release
Party for his new offering, "Livin' For The Sunshine", at the Mucky
Duck on Friday, March 30th. Please come out and support him if you
can. Jack and I will continue to work together as long as he'll have

Rick Poss for bringing the songs alive with his guitar work. Rick
has an impressive set of credentials and has played and toured with
some great musicians. I'm honored to have him on Delta Flyer and
look forward to working with him in the future. Rick will be playing
with Jack at the Mucky Duck. You can also check him out at

soon.

Rick Richards for his ability to stay rock steady on drums in the
middle of a train wreck. God bless him. Rick is out and about with
Ray Wylie Hubbard and was kind enough to spend one of his days off to
work on this project. Rick will also be with Jack at the Mucky Duck.

Riley Osbourne for his keyboard work. As far as I'm concerned, Riley
is as good as it gets. Check out the solo on "Harder Than A Fat Man". Riley is currently on tour with Kenny Wayne Shepherd, but was able to
make time for us. If you catch one of Kenny Wayne's shows, it will be
memorable.

Kaz Kazanoff for blowing just the right notes on "Please Think Of
Me". When I heard we were getting Kaz to do the Sax solo, I almost
fell out. Kaz and The Texas Horns have been recently been working
with Los Lonely Boys and are a fixture at several Blues Festivals. I've got several songs lined up for a full horn section on the next
CD and the Texas Horns are the ticket. Check out Kaz and the boys at

Eleanor Whitmore for the beautiful fiddle work on "Driving Rain". Eleanor really nailed it. She will also be appearing with Jack at

Last, but certainly not least......

Tommie Lee Bradley for kickin' ass on our duet and for all the great
vocal harmonies. I don't need to write a long paragraph about
Tommie. Listen to the songs.

Janet Z for the vocal harmonies. Janet came to one of the studio
sessions, got sequestered and did a great job on short notice. Check

I'm starting to write with both of these ladies and you'll be hearing
from us shortly. It ought to be one killer sound.

The Delta Flyers are officially on the track and pulling out of the station.

The first effort by Stevie DuPree and company is entitled Delta Flyer and will be available on the White Cat label. It was mastered by Jerry Tubb at Terra Nova Digital Audio, Inc. in Austin, Texas on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 and will be released in early March, 2007.
