The Delta Flyers: Home

ANNOUNCING the latest Delta Flyers adventure, "Dr. DuPree's Love Shop".

We gathered in Austin, Texas on Tuesday, June 26, at Wire Recording, for a three day marathon recording session, with owner/engineer Stuart Sullivan at the controls and Mark "Kaz" Kazanoff producing.

The band, Travis Stephenson on guitar, Quentin "Q" Calva on bass guitar, and Steve Bundrick on drums, along with yours truly were up to the occasion. We were joined by some great guest players. Marcia Ball jammed out on piano on First Dance. Nick Connolly handled the remaining keyboard duties. We were also joined by the Texas Horns, Al Gomez, John Mills, and Kaz Kazanoff to put the icing on the cake. Kaz also contributed some FINE harmonica work.

The album won't be complete until the week of August 13, when I return to Austin to mix and master. I expect Dr. DuPree's Love Shop to be officially released in early October, but I will be posting completed tracks on the website as soon as we are done.

This is, by far, our best effort to date and I can't wait to share the songs with everyone.

Until then,

Stevie DuPree
